故事在敘述Maisy上街要去Eddie家帮他过生日，在路上经过了好多家商店，沿路还遇到了不少也要去Eddie生日舞会的朋友，跟着Maisy走，孩子会学到很多商店的英文名，不時还可以翻翻看，这样的设计真是太有趣了!

Today it is Eddie’s birthday, and Maisy is walking to Eddie’s house so that she can attend his party. Her first stop is Cyril’s house, and when the door is opened, Maisy can see that Cyril is all ready for the party. He even has a special party hat.
Further down the street Maisy walks past the doctor’s office. Dr. Duck is inside and he is working. At the Café, Maisy’s friend Charley is having a snack, and a few buildings down the street, Maisy meets Tallulah who is at the shoe store. Right next to Eddie’s house there is the bakery. Look! There is Dotty and she is buying a birthday cake.
For this delightful novelty title, Lucy Cousins has created a fold out book that has flaps that you can lift so that you can explore inside the buildings that Maisy walks past. Little children will love being able to see inside the costume shop, the fire station, and the other places along Maisy’s street.
